Anointing for Favour and Increase

 

INTRODUCTION:

The anointing is the supernatural empowerment of God to accomplish what the natural cannot. When the anointing of favour and increase comes upon a person, doors open, helpers arise, resources flow, and elevation becomes inevitable.

Favour is divine preference — when God causes people to like you, bless you, and support you beyond explanation. Increase is divine multiplication — when little becomes plenty, and what is barren becomes fruitful.

Psalm 5:12 (KJV): “For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.”
Isaiah 48:17 (KJV): “I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.”

Today, by the anointing of the Holy Spirit, may you be clothed with favour and walk in unstoppable increase!

Text: Psalm 23:5–6, Luke 2:52, Genesis 26:12–14

1. What is Favour?

• Favour is God’s divine influence that brings acceptance, promotion, and blessing.

• It removes struggle and attracts opportunities — Luke 2:52: “Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.”

2. What is Increase?

• Supernatural multiplication of resources, influence, and fruitfulness.

• Genesis 26:12 – Isaac sowed in famine and reaped a hundredfold.

3. The Anointing Connects Them:

• The anointing breaks yokes and opens gates of favour.

• Acts 10:38 – Jesus was anointed and went about doing good.

• Psalm 92:10 – “I shall be anointed with fresh oil.”

4. Conditions for the Anointing of Favour and Increase:

• Righteous living (Psalm 5:12)

• Obedience to God’s voice (Deut. 28:1-2)

• Prayer and fasting (Luke 4:14)

• Generosity and honour (Proverbs 3:9-10)
