BACKGROUND
Supreme Gospel Church, is a vivacious evangelical, charismatic Christian Bible-believing church, accepts the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and believes in the full manifestation of the gifts and fruits of the Holly spirit. This Church is reaching out to the whole of Ghana and beyond its borders with Miracles, Signs and Wonders.
Supreme Gospel Church International in Ghana’s Volta Region, Anloga-Dornorgbor, has indeed had a remarkable journey. Established in July 2019 by Apostle Julius Denyigba, a dedicated Senior Pastor and Physician Assistant, the church began with just one attendee prior to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in Anloga Hafiakor.
As COVID-19 restrictions limited church services in schools, the church adapted by relocating to Apostle Julius Denyigba’s father’s house in 2020, conducting services on the porch as a testament to their unwavering commitment to worship.
In 2021, the church took a significant step forward when Apostle Julius Denyigba trained and ordained two pastors. These pastors played a vital role in leading church services while the Apostle continued to balance his work as a Physician Assistant with his ministry.
By December 2021, the church had made further progress by establishing a dedicated shade for worship, offering a more comfortable space for their services.
The church’s growth and adaptability continued with a series of Jesus Miracle and Healing Crusades. In May 2022, the first crusade resulted in the conversion of 38 children and 8 adults, contributing to an increase in the church’s attendance to about 50 people. In September 2022, the second crusade further expanded the congregation to around 70 to 80 people.
The church’s remarkable journey of faith and perseverance reached new heights with the third crusade held on the 30th to 31st of April 2023, leading to a substantial increase in the congregation, surpassing 100 people. This growth is a testament to the dedication and faith of the Supreme Gospel Church International in Anloga-Dornorgbor under the leadership of Apostle Julius Denyigba.

The Open book has a major significance.
It also represents the Holy Bible, which we hold as a revelation of the character, will, and purpose of God. These sacred Scriptures shape our philosophy, our morality and our standard of living-that in the end the precious words, ‘well done, thou good and faithful servant:…enter thou into the joy of thy Lord’ (Matt. 25:21).
The Flame
The “flame” is both historical and theological: historical in the SGC, the foundation on which SGC is built had as its motto ‘a light to the Ghanaian and beyond”.
It is theological in that cloven tongues of fire marked the descent and presence of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost.
The flame in this logo is a constant petition from administration, the members that the power and influence of the Holy Ghost will pervade the churches. “The Wonderful Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace” (Isa. 9:6) is an abiding guest.
The flame emanates from the open book. The Holy Spirit and the Bible form the foundation of the philosophy and value system of this University. Jesus, the Master Teacher, is the model.
