Destroying Monitoring Spirits

Main Text:

  • Psalm 37:32–33 – “The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him…”
  • Micah 7:8 – “Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy…”

1. What Are Monitoring Spirits?

The term “monitoring spirits” is not directly mentioned in the Bible, but the concept is biblical.

Monitoring spirits refer to evil forces assigned to observe, track, report, and hinder the progress of God's people.

They:

  • Watch your movement
  • Observe your progress
  • Report your breakthroughs
  • Plan opposition
  • Attempt to delay or destroy destiny

📖 Psalm 37:32 – “The wicked watcheth the righteous…”
This shows observation before attack.

📖 1 Peter 5:8 – “Your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.”

The enemy does not attack randomly; he studies patterns.

2. Four (4) Biblical Examples of Monitoring Spirits

1️⃣ Cain Watching Abel

📖 Genesis 4:4–8

Cain observed that God accepted Abel’s offering. Instead of improving himself, he monitored Abel and attacked him.

  • Observation
  • Jealousy
  • Destruction attempt

Monitoring spirits operate through jealousy and comparison.

2️⃣ Saul Monitoring David

📖 1 Samuel 18:8–11

King Saul watched David’s popularity grow. The Bible says Saul “eyed David from that day forward.”

Saul:

  • Monitored David’s success
  • Became threatened
  • Tried to kill him

Monitoring spirits are threatened by your rising.

3️⃣ The Evil Spies in the Book of Job

📖 Job 1:7–10

Satan told God he had been “going to and fro in the earth.” He was observing Job.

Satan knew:

  • Job’s righteousness
  • His family structure
  • His wealth

This shows surveillance before affliction.

4️⃣ Delilah Monitoring Samson

📖 Judges 16:4–21

Delilah persistently questioned Samson to discover the source of his strength.

She:

  • Monitored his weakness
  • Extracted his secret
  • Delivered him to his enemies

Monitoring spirits look for secrets and vulnerabilities.

3. How Do Monitoring Spirits Operate?

  • Through jealousy (Cain)
  • Through authority figures (Saul)
  • Through spiritual realms (Satan in Job)
  • Through close relationships (Delilah)

📖 Luke 22:31 – Jesus told Peter: “Satan hath desired to have you…”

The enemy requests permission to attack those with destiny.

4. How to Destroy Monitoring Spirits

1️⃣ Live a Life of Righteousness

📖 Isaiah 54:17 – “No weapon formed against thee shall prosper.”

Holiness frustrates satanic surveillance.

2️⃣ Be Spiritually Alert

📖 Ephesians 6:11 – “Put on the whole armour of God…”

Armor prevents access.

3️⃣ Pray Without Ceasing

📖 2 Corinthians 10:4 – “The weapons of our warfare are not carnal…”

Prayer disrupts spiritual monitoring systems.

4️⃣ Refuse Fear

📖 2 Timothy 1:7 – “God hath not given us the spirit of fear…”

Fear empowers monitoring spirits. Faith disables them.

5. Encouragement

Monitoring spirits may watch, but they cannot prevail over you.

📖 Psalm 121:4 – “He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.”

While the enemy watches you, God watches over you.

📖 Romans 8:31 – “If God be for us, who can be against us?”

Conclusion

The enemy may observe. The enemy may plan. The enemy may attempt.

But God:

  • Shields you
  • Covers you
  • Elevates you
  • Vindicates you

Declare:
“I am covered by the blood of Jesus. No evil eye, no satanic monitoring, no hidden surveillance shall prevail against my destiny in Jesus’ name!”
