Reproach is a mark of shame, disgrace, or ridicule placed upon a person, family, ministry, or nation. It can result from sin, ancestral curses, prolonged delay, barrenness, poverty, failure, or public humiliation. Reproach is a weapon the enemy uses to mock the glory of God in a believer’s life. But our God is the remover of reproach!
Just as He rolled away the reproach of Egypt from Israel (Joshua 5:9), God is set to demolish every reproach in your life. You will no longer be a mockery; you will become a testimony!
📖 SHORT SERMON: "DEMOLISHING THE POWER OF REPROACH"
🔑 Key Scriptures:
- Joshua 5:9 – “This day have I rolled away the reproach of Egypt from off you…”
- Isaiah 54:4 – “You shall not be put to shame... You shall forget the reproach of your youth…”
- Joel 2:26–27 – “…My people shall never be ashamed.”
🔥 1. Reproach Has a Spiritual Root
Reproach may appear physical—delays, poverty, barrenness—but it is rooted in the spirit. Until it is addressed spiritually, it cannot be removed physically.
📖 2 Samuel 9:8 – Mephibosheth was in reproach due to a family curse.
🔥 2. Reproach Can Silence Destiny
Reproach hinders a person’s progress. It limits relationships, opportunities, and divine manifestations. It covers glory with shame.
📖 Nehemiah 1:3 – “…the wall is broken down, and they are in great reproach.”
🔥 3. God is the Remover of Reproach
No matter how long reproach has lasted, God can remove it in a day. The cross of Jesus demolished the greatest reproach—sin and death.
📖 Luke 1:25 – “Thus has the Lord dealt with me... to take away my reproach among men.”
📖 Zephaniah 3:19 – “…I will undo all that afflict thee… and get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame.”
🔥 4. Engage in Warfare to Demolish Reproach
Reproach must be resisted by the Word, by faith, and by violent prayer. God is looking for those who will not accept shame as their portion.
📖 Isaiah 61:7 – “For your shame ye shall have double…”
🙌 DECLARATION
“I declare in the name of Jesus: every reproach over my life, family, and destiny is rolled away! I will not end in shame. I receive double honor, divine remembrance, and accelerated restoration! Amen.”
